Derek and Stiles who can't help but look at each other, even from far away. Stiles inventing tasks to do where he knows Derek will be working as well. Stiles offering Derek cold drinks on a hot day, shy at first, then teasing and laughing at his dry jokes. Derek slowly becoming playful and smudging dirt on Stiles cheek, them chasing each other... having sex in some quiet, closed, dark corner when the air is hot and stuffy and smells of hay... Stiles moaning prettily in Derek’s shoulder...

The horses and the bulls just listen to Derek (bc he's a wolf awoooo) and slowly Papa Stilinski starts to like him. Or, Derek having an injury one day and Stiles fluttering around him, annoying everyone but Derek who just smiles at him and tells him everything will be alright kitten... come sit next to me and then Stiles does and strokes his hair with his shaking fingers cause he thought Derek would die or smn... Derek just resting his feverish hand on Stiles' thigh... Sheriff sitting alone with Derek one night quietly admitting that he could rest easily now knowing Stiles has someone like Derek...

started writing LoF when i was being nostalgic for 2012 where the Avengers Tower fics were at its height of writing so in my world there is no divorce arc. i didn’t realize i’ve never talked about these two! in the pirate au, Commander Solaris was once a member of the Queen’s Navy (same as Reginald) but quit when she realized Zor was much more supportive of her rather explosive ambitions. the Fabricator is Captain Zor’s Quartermaster: their second-in-command, their most trusted ally. there’s not a man nor beast alive that doesn’t fear the Fabricator, and she helps Zor keep their crew in line.

in my original vision for the pirate au, the only characters who aren’t human are Phoenix and Juniper (and possibly Zor and Vitti but shh) so yes, they’re both human!

however, that is not to say that Zor isn’t running a crew full of freaks; with their help, Solaris cut a deal with some Beast Of Power that gave her some unusual abilities involving her missing eye. the exact limits of her power aren’t clear, but when she faced off against the Agency, she set all their sails on fire and was able to very precisely snap the rope that Phoenix was holding onto, dropping them into the water and nearly plowing them over with the Axis.

Yes she absolutely does!

She loves Veronica as her mom, and loves to fight people if they make her mom feel uncomfortable pfft-

Vee had a tendency to copy Veronica too, mimicking her expressions and copying what she'd say, but she stopped after a few months because "that's not how she's supposed to act" smh

Veronica is also the one who taught her how to play instruments, as Veri would play them in her free time and Vee noticed and was absolutely astonished by her skills and begged her to teach her. They'd be found in her backstage area on days Vee didn't have to record any gameshows playing instruments together - it changed often but Vee loves playing guitar the most. They're extremely close, they'd die for each other.

Another fun fact - Vee actually taught Veronica how to be the more open person she is, as she helped her get over her anxiety and stage fright and built up her confidence a lot. Sure she doesn't have Vee's "I don't care what people think because I'm epic" mindset, but she doesn't really shy away from anyone anymore either.

They help each other out a lot is what I'm getting at here. Mutually loving relationship, very found family coded, except one is a robot that would absolutely stab you to death if you hurt her family while the other is a really chill human keeping said robot from committing murder just because someone looked at their weird family funny.

mind you ashlynn has scored more than azzi ever has in an ncaa tournament game. nobody ignores flaws in their games but azzi has had few standout performances in the essentially the same amount of games as the freshmen. as someone who actually watches basketball, i do think ashlynn’s ceiling is higher. she’s shown to put up very similar numbers to azzi despite having a lesser role in the offense. ashlynn and azzi have more or less the same flaws in their game except ashlynn actually believes in herself at all times and isn’t easily spooked. geno can talk all he wants but the body work is the same and so are the numbers. wish azzi could stay healthy and let her game talk but so far it’s just been talking for 3 years. at some point we’re gonna need consistency from that 2 spot and ash is looking like that girl.

First of all, the snarky "as someone who actually watches basketball" is very much unappreciated and was quite frankly unnecessary.

Comparison is difficult with Azzi because of injuries. Her averages, which you are correct, are similar to Ash's, do not define her because they are inconsistent in terms of health. When healthy, Azzi is absolute the player with the higher potential and the higher ceiling and the numbers do back that up when you look only at games that Azzi was fully healthy in.

But nonetheless let's do a more accurate comparison that is more fair that comparing averages, where I'm just gonna give you both of their last-10-game stretch points (the efficiencies were similar) at the end of their freshman year (where they were both in good health), leading up to the big east so we can compare both their scoring ability and their consistency:

As you can see, they both had bad games during that stretch, but one of them clearly had better games. If you wanna play the rebounds and assists game, then yes Ash is absolutely the better rebounds but Azzi has better court vision.

And the thing you didn't touch upon, where Azzi clears Ash by an absolute mile is defense. Geno has praised her defense over and over again and we've seen it in games where she's healthy.

I'm not trying to hate on Ash and I absolutely agree that her mentality is much better and I love seeing her be free on the court. And I actually do agree with your point about Azzi letting her game talk, but at the end of the day, if Azzi Fudd is healthy and at her best, in my opnion, she is the 2nd best player on that team.

I was too shy at the time to ask, but could you do a rough summary of the outline to catch us up to speed? The doc is a bit too much text for me to parse

honestly not really, the doc itself is also a rough summary. i can't do much more than what's there, and it would take me a long time to go through it all again and re-write it. i took a quick glance from where we left off (there's a clickable button on the left to where the blog left off) and yeah it really is just summarised. most i could do is cut out dialogue but atp i don't see the point anymore in reading the summary. you'd be missing a lot of characterisation that was important imo and it just reduces the story to a point that i think it's not even worth reading.

for everything before that, there's the mirror + the blog itself. i honestly, and not to upset you or anything btw i am not mad, don't like writing a summary of the plot for what happened on the blog anymore. i spent a loooonnggg time making all the art for it and i feel very discouraged when people don't want to spend the time to read any of it;;;. i worked for a long time on this blog and i know it's long, and that long stories aren't for everyone and that's ok! but i won't be writing a summary or point form anymore because it just kind of upsets me that i put all this work and people don't want to read it but still want to know everything;;;
